Discover your talents with 11 simple steps

“Do I have talent?” “What if I don’t do what’s right for me?” “What if I call life completely different?” Such questions cross the minds of thousands of people around the world, no matter their age.

If you’re one of those people, it’s probably time to take a break and find out who you really are. This may sound difficult, and it is, but think about it logically and you will find that the longer you delay, the more you will be stuck in the same cycle of doubt and confusion on your path in life. .

To help you, here is a step by step guide to help you know where your true talent lies.

Step 1: Recall all of your dreams

From childhood to school and college, and finally as an adult the first thing to remember is all the real dreams you have made throughout your life. Write them down

Step 2: Separate ‘to have’ and ‘to be’

Now that you have written all your dreams, you need to separate them into two categories:

“Dreams”: those that involve you in possession of something that you do not currently have.

Dreams “to be”: those that involve a new role in life.

Now write the dreams of “future” separately; We are just going to work with them.

Step 3: What provoked a reaction in you?

Do you remember if you ever experienced a thrill when you saw another person filling a certain role in life? Do you want to live in their shoes? If so, write it down.

Step 4: What did you enjoy doing?

Write down any activities or hobbies that you enjoyed doing in the past. When you were a child or teenager and when you were an adult, what did you like to do? What do you like to do now?

Step 5: Get rid of what you don’t need

Review everything you have written so far. Think carefully about each of your “future dreams” and see which ones still elicit an emotional response, the feeling of excitement that was discussed in step 3. Now imagine yourself in those roles. If you were in this role, what would you do now? How are you feeling

Note the strength of your emotional response when you imagine yourself in different roles. Evaluate the strength of your response for each on a scale of 1 to 10.

Step 6: Strike out the worst

Now, pass all those “future” dreams, which you gave the lowest rating in the previous stage. These are dreams you can overcome now and then; It’s obvious that they don’t mean as much to you as they once did and you don’t need them anymore.

Step 7: Group things together

So now you have a list of your real and intuitive goals for life. At the moment, they are all mixed into one list. Look at the list carefully and ask yourself: Who can I group with in my dreams? Which are interlinked or very similar?

Step 8: Name each group

Look closely at each group you created and give each one a name. Every name should say something about one of your innate talents, which has given rise to a series of mutual dreams.

Step 9: Look for connections between the groups
we are almost there! You just have to understand what connects different groups. Write the names of the groups in a list. Think about how the existence of one group supports the existence of another. This practice almost always shows that there are relationships between groups.

Step 10: Search for an outlet for your talents
Think about it and then write down all the possibilities to make your dreams come true in real life. What professional or personal life are we talking about here? What kind of activities does it involve? Do your dreams and talents affect more than one area of activity or profession? The more views you get here, the better.

Step 11: Define your life’s purpose
So now you have a list of potential outlets for your dreams and talents, taking each scenario on a scale of 1 to 10, from the least attractive idea to the most attractive.

Now, it should be clear what specific direction you need to take to get what is really of your interest. If you can do this, then you can ensure that by making this dream come true you will get true happiness in life. Because, of course, when you know where your true talents are and have the opportunity to feel them, you will feel more confident and enthusiastic.
